SUNDAY MORNING PRAYER MINISTRY

We have prayer teams available after each worship service to pray in confidence with those desiring prayer. Prayer teams are made up of Pastors, Elders and Lay Prayer Ministers who have completed Prayer Team Training. If you would like prayer on Sunday morning, you will be given the opportunity to meet with a prayer team in front of the Sanctuary or in a designated location. We are praying that this will be a wonderful opportunity to minister to those who attend our worship services.

SIGN-UPS

•Prayer Room Sign-ups •  We invite any person/group of people to use the Prayer Room for prayer up to 1-hour time slots. Sign-up sheet is on the bulletin board across from the Prayer Room (in Admin. Bldg.)

Areas include: instrumentalists, singers, hula teacher, creative people, audio/visual tech people (i.e. MediaShout software), and other areas. For more info and if you can help, contact Pastor Bill.

•Sunday Coffee Fellowship Ministry - Sign up to help bring refreshments or to set-up and/or clean-up on Sunday mornings. We hope to get enough volunteers so we can rotate days volunteers do this ministry. Sign-up sheets in the Welcome Center.

ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES

Winter Term   January 8 - April 1, 2012

Visit a class to sign-up.

Theology in the Hymns (Mike - Gym 1)   - God is pleased in our response to Him in Song. Focus will be on some of the most popular historical and contemporary songs and study their history, words and themes in the context of Bible teaching. Goal is to enrich our singing worship to fully use our minds and hearts as we strive to please God in our individual daily and corporate worship.

Women's Koinonia (Judy & Helen - Library)  - Abundant Living: growing in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ through Bible study. Senior women continue to grow in fellowship, sharing, praying and studying the Bible together.

The E100 Challenge - New Testament (Frances, Henry, Howard, Harold - WC2)  - Essential 100 (E100) lessons, parables, and narratives in the Bible that every Christian should know.  This year, we will look at Part II - 50 significant passages in the New Testament. New members welcome. (workbook fee)

I Said Yes to Jesus, But Now What?  (Barbara - Gym 3)  - Class for women (new believers). Small group will help you get started in living your new life with Jesus as we walk alongside you step by step.  No question too small, no concern unimportant.

Galatians, A Call to Freedom in Christ! (Nelson - B4)  - Continuation of the Fall term class. We begin in Chapter 2 and approach the central piece of Paul's letter to the churches in Galatia. New members welcome.

Marriage Oneness - continuation (Joni & Kevin - PS Office)  - This class is an 8-week video series from Family Life Today's Life Ready series.  Class will equip couples in seven key areas (communication, conflict resolution, money, spiritual beliefs, sexual intimacy, roles and responsibilities, family and friends). (workbook and profile fee)

When God's People Pray (Neilson, Jerry, Geoffrey - Youth House)  - What are the keys that unlock the power of prayer, turn it from a mere activity into a vital link with God and all His resources? Jim Cymbala, pastor of the Brooklyn Tabernacle, will show us the truth about prayer that God has used to turn his own church from a tiny, struggling inner-city congregation into a vital, thriving community of believers who pray with passion, focus, and faith.

Tips & Tools for Studying the Bible (Ada - B6)  - This class will give you tips and tools for studying the Bible so that God and His will become more real to you ("Jesus jumped off the pages!"). You will receive training, with the Spirit's help, to use your natural abilities to Contextualize the text, Observe the text accurately, Interpret the writer's facts, Reflect on his message, and Apply its lessons to life.  That's COIRA - reading the bible thoughtfully so you can hear God speaking to you directly!

Disciple Making 101 (Glenn - Adm. #2)  - As Christians, God has commanded us to make disciples. This discipleship series will provide a good foundation to help you first become a disciple, then give you the tools to become a disciple maker and thereby fulfill God's command.

The Journey Continues - Men's class (Steve - Gym 4)  - A class for men who would like to explore ways to be a blessing in their families, their workplace, their community and church.  We'll look to a time-tested resource by Dr. Gary Smalley and Dr. John Trent.  All men are welcome.  (study guide fee)
