•We believe in the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New
Testaments as inspired by God and inerrant in the original writings, and
as supreme and final authority in matters of faith and practice. (2
Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:21)
•We believe in one God, infinite and perfect, revealed in the Word as
three Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19;
Galatians 4:4-6)
•We believe in Jesus Christ
who was begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, and is
true God and true man. (Matthew 1:18; John 1:14; Luke 1:35)
•We believe that man was
created in the image of God, that he sinned and thereby suffered
separation from God, involving both physical and spiritual death, and
that all human beings are born with a sinful nature. (Romans 3:23;
5:12; Jeremiah 17:9; Mark 7:21-23)
•We believe that the Lord
Jesus Christ died for our sins, thereby making complete atonement and
that all who believe in Him are justified on the basis of His shed
blood. (Isaiah 53:6; 1 Peter 2:24; Mark 10:45; 2 Corinthians
5:21; 1 Corinthians 15:3)
•We believe in the
resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord Jesus Christ, and in His
ascension into Heaven to make intercession for us. (Luke 24:6-7;
1 Corinthians 15:4-8; Hebrews 4:14; 10:12)
•We believe in the personal,
visible return of our Lord Jesus Christ to consummate His Kingdom.
(Acts 1:11; Revelation 1:7)
•We believe that the Holy
Spirit makes the work of Christ effective in the individual sinner,
granting him repentance toward God and faith in Jesus Christ, and by His
indwelling makes him a child of God, and enables him to live and grow in
the Christian life. (John 1:12-13; 3:3;
3:16; Romans 6:23; 8:5-29; 1 Peter 1:22-23)
•We believe that the Church
universal is a spiritual fellowship of all true believers, the body of
Jesus Christ, of which He is the Head, and to whom all believers are
responsible. The mission of the Church is the proclamation of the
Gospel, the worship of God, and the gathering and perfection of the
saints. (Ephesians 1:3-6; 1:22-23; 1 Corinthians
12:12-14; Matthew 28:19-20)
•We believe in the
resurrection of the dead, the just to eternal blessedness, and the
unjust to eternal punishment. (Romans 14:10; Matthew 25:46:
John 3:36; Revelation 20:12, 15)
