be completely humble & gentle... bearing with one another in love Hear guest speaker Stanley Johnson, a former pastor of KUC (1963-'75), as he recounts with us God's many blessings over the years as well as looking ahead to a season of renewal and revival for our church family. The theme for our Celebration is taken from Ephesians 4:1-6. Pastor Johnson shares a special message for the KUC family in each of the Sunday worship services in August, beginning with August 3. Special services include: Friday Aug. 22 (following the "Pot-Blessing" Dinner), Sat. evening Aug. 23 and a joint worship service on Sunday Aug. 24. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace Grow with us Sunday evenings Aug. 3, 10, 17 & 24. Join Pastor Johnson Sunday evenings at 6:00pm in the Welcome Ctr. for a Sermon Talk Story Time. Pastor Stan answers questions and further discusses his Sunday sermon. Then we'll break out into small groups for more personal sharing/discussion times. Everyone is invited to stay for the Praise Service at 7:30pm. Fellowship with us Friday night, August 22 during a Pot-Blessing dinner in the Gym. Coordinator Charlotte K. will ask members of the English-speaking congregation to sign up on the lanai to bring food for the gathering. Last day to sign-up on Sunday, August 10 on the lanai before and after each worship service. Following the Saturday night service (Aug. 23), refreshments will be served, coordinated by Mrs. Yoza and our Japanese Fellowship. Celebrate with us at a special lunch on Sunday, August 24, following the worship service. This luncheon will be prepared by Dottie C. and our Kitchen Krew. If you are able to donate any of these, please bring them in plastic bags and drop off in the marked boxes in the Gym BEFORE the 9am service on August 24. CELEBRATION SUNDAY • AUGUST 24

Join us for our 95th Anniversary Celebration Sunday! Events begin with a Joint Service at 9am in the Sanctuary. Guest speaker Stan Johnson shares a special Anniversary message. Everyone is invited to join us for a Celebration Lunch in the Gym at 11:30am. (There will not be Coffee Fellowship following the 9am service) Stay in the Gym for a special program that includes special music by Kevin & Joni, Kalihi Cares Trio, Harmonica Choir, the special Anniversary Choir, and a special by our pastors and elders; a time of sharing testimonies, Hula, Door Prizes, and a special video of the KUC history.

As part of our Anniversary Celebration, we invite the KUC family to join us Sunday and Wednesday evenings in August for Praise Services in the Sanctuary.

With much prayer for the KUC family, Pastor Johnson, former pastor at KUC, feels God has been revealing to him special messages for the church. Thus, he will be ministering to the church family the first four Sundays in August. JOIN THE ANNIVERSARY CHOIR

Have you ever sung in a KUC choir in years past? Have you never sung in a KUC choir but always wanted to? We welcome all singers to join this special choir for our celebration! Randy & Gay Hongo direct the choir through old chestnuts like "Trust in the Lord" by Jean Berger and "It Was His Love."  The Anniversary Choir also sings during the final week of August Praise services.
