KUC SHORT-TERM MISSIONS 2010

"Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying,

Is It Your Time To Go?

Have you ever heard the voice of the Lord calling you to GO for Him and with Him? What has been your response?

This year we have two short-term missions:

•PHILIPPINES: Working with Christ Our Life Ministries (COLM-Pastor Rolando Santiago) in Pangasinan with outreach to Ilocos Norte.

TEAM #1: Carpentry & Construction • July 14-22

We are looking for two or three people willing to help Ray K. with carpentry and construction. No experience needed!

TEAM #2: Children's Ministry/AWANA • July 14-27

We need people who can teach music, drama or dance to young children. AWANA games & activities background helpful.

•OKINAWA: October 14 - 25

Team will visit various churches, Children's orphanage, and U.S. Military Base with our new Okinawa partners, Pastor & Mrs. M. Kina and the Okinawa World Missions Church. Being able to converse in Japanese is helpful but not required.

•How you can support the Okinawa Missions Trip:

-Donations Collected for Mission Trip Ministry

Sundays Sept. 26 & Oct. 3

As part of their ministry, the Okinawa Team will distribute bagged toiletry items to children at orphanages and to the elderly at long-term care facilities. Be a blessing to these people they will minister to and drop off donations of the following toiletry items in the church office:

•Soap   •Shampoo   •Toothbrush   •Toothpaste

-HI Five for the Philippines:

to raise funds that will go toward our ministry in the Philippines, we are collecting recyclable aluminum soda/juice cans and plastic bottles imprinted with "HI-5"  Drop off clean cans & bottles in the marked container near the Youth House. (You can help us by separating the cans from plastic bottles & removing the caps from the bottles)
